Ready for Synergy Days 2023? Here’s What You Can Expect from STELAR
The agrifood tech event Synergy Days is happening soon, on October 4th and 5th, in Thessaloniki, Greece. It will once again bring together digital innovators from the European agrifood sector. Among the 30 EU projects being presented will be STELAR and its proposed solutions for making the agrifood data space a more AI-friendly and accessible space.
If you follow developments in the agrifood tech sector and breakthroughs by Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe projects, your interest will be piqued by Synergy Days. Here’s what to expect at the anticipated two-day agrifood event.
Free Exhibitions and Interactive Workshops At Synergy Days
Held at the ‘Ioannis Vellidis’ Congress Centre, the conference won’t offer the option of live streaming at home, but everyone interested is welcome to attend in person.
The nearly 30 EU projects attending will present themselves during a two-day exhibition, so if you are interested to find out more about our STELAR project, we will be there live to answer your questions! The present projects will showcase their endeavours and results via live demonstrations, attractive videos, and enticing promotional materials.
Apart from the all-day exhibition stands, the projects will hold workshops revolving around hot topics in the European agrifood sector. From data management, smart farming, and digitalisation of the agrifood sector – all topics will be touched upon. The STELAR project is preparing an enticing workshop along with our partners from HOLiFOODs, so be sure to stick around on October 5th!
STELAR Workshop: Novel Digital Infrastructure for Food Safety
On the final day of the conference, Thursday, October 5th from 9:30 to 10:30, STELAR and the HOLiFOOD project will join forces for the workshop Novel Digital Infrastructure for Food Safety: Solutions for a Rapidly Changing World (part 1, panel discussion). Stick around for the second part of the workshop on the same day, but from 11:00 to 12:00. Part 2 will be a brainstorming session named “From Bytes to Bites: How AI & ML Can Safeguard Our Safe Food Supply”.
The interactive workshops will host partners from both projects, as well as external experts invited by the projects. The panel workshop will explore the ways how novel digital infrastructure can change how we ensure food safety and accessible information for all. The session will explore and present innovative methods for handling food safety challenges.
As the world finds itself in changing environmental patterns and an increasingly complex global supply chain, making sure the general population has access to safe and quality food is becoming increasingly important.
The guest speakers for the panel will soon be announced on STELAR’s social media channels. A healthy discussion space amongst the participants and the audience will be encouraged, and complementary goody bags will be distributed for the most active in the audience.
About the STELAR project
The STELAR project is co-funded by the EU and focuses on the increasingly vital area of agrifood data management. The project’s partners aim to develop a platform and its tools for easier access to FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and AI-ready (high-quality, correctly labelled) data. The system it aims to design and develop is a Knowledge Lake Management System (KLMS) which will allow to (semi-)automatically turn raw data lakes into knowledge lakes.
The system will be tested in real-life scenarios concentrating on:
- Risk prevention in food supply lines
- Early crop growth predictions
- Timely precision farming interventions
At Synergy Days and beyond, STELAR will promote the innovative opportunities offered by its proposed KLMS.
